MATTE PETG · 1.75 MM ±0.03 · 1 KG

Matte PETG

Farm math: under $9 per kilo in the bundle. Matte on top.

10 kg (10 rolls) $89.90 on Amazon US

Matte PETG is the production line: two colors, one format, priced for volume. The 10 kg bundle lands under $9 per kilo, which is the number that matters when the printer runs eight hours a day. Matte White and Matte Black cover most client work between them.

The finish is the other half of the argument. Matte surfaces scatter light, layer lines soften, and a batch part reads closer to molded than printed. Underneath sits the same PETG backbone: dried 24 hours before packaging, sealed in nylon with desiccant, wound to ±0.03 mm.

USE-CASE GUIDANCE

Where it earns its keep.

The two-color farm

White and black cover the overwhelming share of commissioned parts, which is exactly why this line stops at two. Fewer SKUs, one tuned profile, ten identical rolls per box: production simplicity is the product.

See PETG

Matte as a strategy

Matte hides what gloss advertises. Layer lines, small seams, minor ringing: the surface scatters light and the eye forgives. If a client will hold the part, matte is the finish that survives the inspection.

Buying by the box

One box is 10 rolls, 10 kg, one purchase decision a month instead of ten. The under-$9-per-kilo math comes from the bundle price on Amazon; check the listing for the current figure.

Print tips

  • Use your standard PETG profile: 210 to 220 °C, bed at 70 to 80 °C.
  • Matte pigments can drag slightly; a 5% flow bump smooths top layers.
  • Wipe the nozzle before white prints; black residue shows in Matte White.
  • Dry opened rolls before long production runs, same as any PETG.

THE HONEST BIT

Good at this. Not at that.

Every material has a job. Here is where this one belongs, and where it does not.

Best for

  • Client-facing production runs
  • Enclosures, housings, and panels
  • Batch parts where the finish sells the print
  • Two-color farms that hate SKU sprawl
  • Functional parts that should not look 3D-printed

FAQ

Buyer questions, straight answers.

Why only two colors?

Because this is the production line. The 22-color wall lives over in PLA, and standard PETG carries 12. Matte PETG exists to make batch work economical, and batch work runs on white and black.

Is it really under $9 per kilo?

The 10-roll, 10 kg bundle on Amazon works out to under $9 per kilo at its listed price. We keep the wording loose on purpose: the live number sits on the listing.

Does matte print differently from standard PETG?

Same temperatures, same bed, same drying rules. Expect a slightly softer surface texture, check your flow on the first roll, and after that it is business as usual.

Can I mix it with standard PETG in one build?

Yes. Same chemistry, same settings, so matte panels and gloss accents can share an assembly without profile juggling.
